Sea mammals brought to SeaWorld from oil spill remain in guarded condition
Oiled sea mammals brought to SeaWorld San Diego from the Refugio State Beach oil spill “remain in guarded condition,†park officials said Monday.
SeaWorld is caring for six sea lions and two elephant seals at the park’s Oiled Wildlife Care Center. Two sea lions died after being brought to SeaWorld. Two dolphins also died.
Three members of the park’s animal rescue team remain in Santa Barbara County to assist with the rescue effort.
