The San Francisco Police Department is investigating a pair of videos showing two officers laughing and reenacting police shootings as they describe details about what could be recorded on body cameras.

The videos show the officers sitting at a table inside a doughnut shop and having a conversation about body cameras. The videos appeared on Instagram this week, but were filmed in November 2014 by a person sitting at a table nearby.

The officer says, “But would you look like a dumb ass. That’s what you see.â€

He then says, “What you want on video is the guy holding the gun still going†as he motions a gun with his hand and reenacts a suspect being shot and dying.

In another video, the same officer says “Not†and then puts his hands in the air and motions to imaginary gun wounds in his chest, while laughing.

The second officer says, “All the brain splattered,†as he recreates a head injury. The other officer replies, “And cherry pie all over the wall.â€

San Francisco police said in a statement the officers were talking about “what they feel would be important evidence to capture in the event they were involved in an officer-involved shooting.â€

San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr addressed concerns about the videos, saying the officers' conversation was inappropriate.

Police said they want to speak to the person who owns the original video to review it and determine whether the officers violated department policy. If the officers did violate any policy, disciplinary actions will be taken, police said.
