#Obamajam: President’s fundraising visit shuts down major L.A. roads

President Obama landed in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon to attend two Democratic National Committee fundraisers, which has prompted numerous road closures and will likely clog roads.

Air Force One touched down at the Los Angeles International Airport about 2:30 p.m. Obama is expected to head to television producer Chuck Lorre’s home in Pacific Palisades.

Lorre is hosting a $16,700-per person “intimate” roundtable discussion to raise funds for the DNC’s 2016 White House Victory Fund, Variety reported. Benefactors will have the opportunity to have “an open dialogue and discussion with the president,” according to Variety.

From there, Obama will head to film director Tyler Perry’s home in Beverly Hills for a dinner reception.

Tickets to attend the fundraiser start at $2,500 and go up to $20,000 per couple, according to City News Service. Supporters wanting a photo with the president must pay $10,000 per ticket.

Then on Friday, comic Marc Maron will interview Obama at Maron’s Highland Park home. The interview will air on his podcast “WTF With Marc Maron.”

Once the interview is over, Obama will leave Los Angeles and make his way to San Francisco, where he is scheduled to attend more fundraisers and speak at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
