Disneyland Ferris wheel stuck for hours, passengers say
A Ferris wheel at Disneyland’s California Adventure stalled with riders aboard for about two hours late Thursday afternoon.
Aerial news footage showed crews helping passengers off.
It was more than 90 degrees while passengers were stuck, according to The Weather Channel.
All passengers were off by 6:30 p.m., KTLA5 reported.
Some of the passengers tweeted about the incident while stuck.
“Stuck on @Disneyland CA ferris wheel solid 25 mins.. Anxiety not good at 100+ feet,†Anthony Sanchez tweeted at 5:19 p.m.
The cause of the malfunction is unclear.
Attempts to reach Disney for comment were not immediately successful.
Calls to the Anaheim Fire and Rescue Department were not immediately returned.
