Gardena police find shooting victim dead in car
A man was shot and killed Friday afternoon while sitting in his car in a Gardena shopping center parking lot, police said.
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at the intersection of 135th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard about 1:20 p.m., said Lt. Vince Osorio of the Gardena Police Department.
Police found the victim in the driver’s seat of a gray sedan. He had been shot an unknown number of times, Osorio said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters.
