Driver is shot, killed in Rosemead attack

A man was shot and killed as he drove his car late Tuesday in Rosemead, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Someone in another car fired at the victim at the intersection of Muscatel Avenue and Garvey Avenue, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Crystal Hernandez said.
The fatally wounded man continued to drive for about three-quarters of a mile, hitting three cars before coming to a stop at Rosemead Avenue and Garvey Avenue in neighboring South El Monte. she said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hernandez said. A woman who was also in the car was not injured.
The man’s identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
Homicide investigators are looking for a dark-colored midsized vehicle believed to have been the car the shooter was in, Hernandez said.
