Man found dead with gunshot wound in Compton; few details released
Investigators have released few details about a man who was found dead early Thursday in Compton.
The Latino man, who was pronounced dead at the scene in the 1500 block of South Atlantic Avenue, had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso, according to a report by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Guillermina Saldaña.
Authorities responded to a call of a gunshot victim at about 1:30 a.m., according to the sheriff’s report. Officials did not immediately provide information about where exactly the body was found, or by whom.
L.A. County Sheriff’s homicide detectives were continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the death Thursday afternoon.
