‘Real Housewives’ star Kim Richards arrested for alleged shoplifting at Target

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills†star Kim Richards is in trouble with the law again.

Richards was detained by loss prevention security guards Sunday at a Target in Van Nuys for shoplifting $600 in products, said Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Richards was shopping at the store in the 5700 block of Sepulveda Boulevard about 4:25 p.m. when security noticed she was preparing to leave without paying for numerous products, Preciado said.

When confronted, Richards was placed under citizen’s arrest and the LAPD was called.

Richards, 50, was booked into an LAPD jail and was released about 1:50 p.m. Monday on $5,000 bail.

Richards’ latest arrest comes four months after she taken into custody in Beverly Hills for allegedly hitting an officer.

The former child actor was charged with one misdemeanor count each of battery on an officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication following her April 16 arrest at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Authorities said Richards appeared to be drunk, so security tried to escort her out of the restaurant. But she went to the hotel restroom and refused to leave. Police had to pull her out.

While she was booked, Richards tried to kick a male officer in the groin, but the kick landed on his leg, Beverly Hills Police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said at the time.

After the arrest, Richards went to rehab. Her battle with alcohol abuse has been an ongoing subject on the reality show.
