Jay Leno is grand marshal of 30th annual Love Ride
“Tonight Show†host Jay Leno was among thousands of motorcyclists participating in Sunday’s 30th annual Love Ride, a 50-mile trip from Glendale to Lake Castaic, to raise money for charity.
Leno, grand marshal of the event, was at the head of the pack when the ride began Sunday morning. The event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars every year for various charity organizations, including the USO to help support the nation’s deployed troops and their families.
Over the years, Love Ride has raised $24 million for charities in the U.S., according to the organization’s website. Similar events are held in Mexico and Europe.
This year’s event kicked off with a news conference at Harley-Davidson of Glendale and was followed by a ride to Castaic Lake Recreation Area, where a concert is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. with Jackson Browne.
