Time-lapse video: Watch hail turn Huntington Beach frosty fast

On March 2, a hailstorm briefly turned Southern California winter on its head. Photos zinged around the Internet showing sidewalks and roadways under a snow-like covering. Surfers trotted with boards over a frosty beach landscape and into the sea.
The Huntington Beach police have commemorated the unusual winter scenes with time-lapse video, below.
In nothing flat, the winter scene evaporated, but we have our memories.
