Human remains found in Santa Clarita riverbed
Human remains were found Monday in the Santa Clara River in Santa Clarita, authorities said.
A worker encountered the “human skeletal remains†while cleaning up the portion of the riverbed near Bouquet Canyon Road, said Deputy Amber Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The identity of the person will be determined by the L.A. County coroner’s office, Smith said.
Anyone with information about the human remains is asked to contact the sheriff’s department’s homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.
