Crews contain brush fire near Brentwood at 2 acres
Firefighters worked overnight to put out multiple hot spots still scorching thick brush in the Rustic Canyon Park area near Brentwood, officials said Friday.
Aerial water drops helped to quickly extinguish the blaze, which started late Thursday and burned to the ridge line, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.
About 75 firefighters worked to stop the fire at two acres, and as of 1:30 a.m., there were no active flames, officials said.
Firefighters will likely declare a full knockdown of the blaze later in the morning, Scott said.
