One dead, nine injured when car slams into Metro bus

One person died and nine others were taken to hospitals with minor injuries after a driver apparently smashed into the rear of a Metro bus in Sun Valley.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene in the 12100 block of Saticoy Street near Laurel Canyon Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. He was an adult male.
The nine people who were injured included the bus driver, a 5-year-old child and a 65-year-old, the Fire Department said
The accident was reported around 3 p.m.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were at the scene gathering evidence. No other details were immediately available.
