Four injured as van goes off the 405 Freeway
Two adults and two children were injured Sunday afternoon when a minivan crashed over an embankment on the 405 Freeway.
The accident on the southbound 405 at the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks was reported at 4:04 p.m., according to Tatiana Sauquillo of the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle may have blown a tire, she said, causing it to go over the embankment and into a chain-link fence.
Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said two children and two adults were taken to hospitals and were in stable condition.
