Earthquake: 3.5 quake strikes near Bodfish
A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 11 miles from Bodfish, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:48 a.m. PDT at a depth of 1.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 22 miles from Tehachapi, 29 miles from California City and 31 miles from Arvin.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
