Earthquake: 3.8 quake strikes near the Geysers


A shallow magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening two miles from the Geysers, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:43 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Healdsburg, Calif., 13 miles from Clearlake, Calif., 15 miles from Windsor, Calif. and 66 miles from Sacramento.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
