Earthquake: 2.7 quake strikes near Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported Wednesday morning 13 miles from Mammoth Lakes, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:19 a.m. PDT at a depth of 4.3 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 64 miles from Clovis, Calif., 65 miles from Sanger, Calif., 68 miles from Reedley, Calif., and 126 miles from Carson City, Nev.
In the last 10 days, there have been three earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
