Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Soledad, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 17 miles from Soledad, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:43 a.m. PDT at a depth of 3.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 20 miles from Greenfield, Calif.; 24 miles from King City, Calif.; 26 miles from Hollister, Calif.; and 139 miles from Sacramento.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
