Bixby, the first seal pup born at the Aquarium of the Pacific, was moved to her permanent home in the seal and sea lion exhibit in Long Beach. Bixby, nearly 4 months old, now weighs approximately 50 pounds.

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach introduced its newest harbor seal pup to the rest of the sea lions and harbor seals Tuesday. Bixby, foreground, was born on April 26 and weighed about 20 pounds at birth. (Francine Orr / Los Angeles Times)
