Catcall on article about Myanmar
Having returned from Myanmar last week, I was excited and amazed to open the Travel section and see an article on this incredible country [“Catapulting to Fame at a Quiet Lake Monastery,” March 20]. Unfortunately, I could not have been more disappointed with Terrence Moore’s article.
I understand the need to take an interesting approach to each destination, but a high percentage of people know nothing of Myanmar, and it would have been better to see more of a destination piece. I can’t imagine anyone getting excited about a monastery with jumping cats and saying that they need to fly 20-plus hours to see this.
