Camilo Oropeza ran the 2.9 mile course in 16:16 to win his fourth race of the season in leading Garfield (5-2, 4-1) at Griffith Park.

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE
Verdugo Hills 17, Grant 32
Oscar DeJesus took the individual victory as he covered the 2.9-mile course at Pierce College in 17:56 and Mario Quinteros was second in 18:13 to lead Verdugo Hills (3-2 in league).
VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE
Monroe 15, Van Nuys 45
Gabriel Guzman from Monroe finished the three-mile race in 15:45, which is currently the fastest recorded time in the city section this year, at Pierce College. Monroe, which improved to 5-0 clinched its ninth straight league title with the victory. Van Nuys falls to 0-5.
WEST VALLEY LEAGUE
Birmingham 16, El Camino Real 51, Granada Hills 55
Jose Alcala of Birmingham (9-0, 5-0) was the individual winner in 16:32 over the three-mile course at Pierce College.

EASTERN LEAGUE
Garfield 18, Roosevelt 41
Valerie Ponce ran the 2.9 mile race in 20:15 to finish first overall for victorious Garfield (5-2, 4-1) at Griffith Park.
South Gate 16, Bell 43
SUNSET SIX LEAGUE
Verdugo Hills 15, Grant 40
Stephanie Garcia won the individual race in 19:56 over the 2.9-mile course at Pierce College and teammate Megan Cowie was second in 20:14 for Verdugo Hills (5-0 in league), which clinched the league title.
VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE
Monroe 17, Van Nuys 48
Monroe’s Belen Rojas finish the three-mile race in 20:38 to earn the victory at Pierce College. Monroe finished 5-0 in league and clinched the league title with the win. Van Nuys finishes 0-5.
WEST VALLEY LEAGUE
Birmingham 24, El Camino Real 35, Granada Hills 65
Jennifer Hernandez of Birmingham (9-0, 5-0) was the individual winner in 18:34 over the three-mile course at Pierce College.
