LOS ANGELES, May 27, 2009 – As the television industry gears up for the 61st Primetime Emmy® Awards race, The Envelope (https://theenvelope.com) kicks-off its in-depth online coverage of the 2008/2009 TV seasons’ hottest stars, shows and behind-the-scenes action and unveils the first of eight special print editions beginning Wednesday, May 27. The Los Angeles Times entertainment awards insider will also launch its second annual Primetime Emmy® Screening Series (https://theenvelope.com/screeningseries) on June 1, showcasing some of the most talked about network and cable series for an exclusive audience of Television Academy.

Sponsored by V Australia, the Primetime Emmy® Screening Series will be held at Hollywood’s
Mann Chinese 6 Theatre, with complete episodes and/or clip packages being shown and followed by
up-close-and-personal Q&A discussions with each show’s creators and stars moderated by

  • June 1st 7:30pm - Sons of Anarchy & The Shield
  • June 2nd 7:30pm - Californication
  • June 3rd 7:30pm - Rescue Me
  • June 4th 7:30pm - Battlestar Galactica
  • June 9th 7:30pm - In Plain Sight
  • June 10th 7:30pm - The Cleaner
