That’s the raise Assemblyman Mike Villines of Clovis will get next year. Chosen by fellow Republicans to replace George Plescia of San Diego as their caucus leader, Villines will receive $130,062, up from the $110,880 that ordinary Assembly members are paid. All lawmakers who live 50 miles or more from the Capitol also get $162 a day for travel, board and food -- tax-free. — Nancy Vogel
