Bittersweet Treats opens in Pasadena
Pasadena bake shop Bittersweet Treats celebrates its grand opening in Pasadena on Tuesday.
Pastry chef Danielle Keene is a former contestant on “Top Chef: Just Desserts†and was pastry chef at L.A. restaurants such as Little Door, BLT Steak and Wilshire. She has turned her online bakery into a Colorado Boulevard storefront, decorated with vintage baking pans, cake stands and Polaroids.
Keene is selling her upgraded versions of classic desserts: whoopie pies, cookies, brownies, blondies, peanut caramel pretzel bars, cookies, cupcakes including pudding- and mousse-filled, cinnamon rolls, chocolate tarts, upside-down cake, Boston cream pie, ice cream in flavors such as milk chocolate chai and honey lavender, and chocolate truffles and nutty brittles. LA Mill coffee is sold.
