A new restaurant -- Viviane -- is opening soon at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills
Stephane Bombet, owner of the Bombet Hospitality Group, is teaming up with chef Michael Hung to open Viviane, a new restaurant at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Bombet, who also owns Terrine, took to Facebook to announce that his hospitality group would be taking over all food and beverage operations for the hotel, in addition to the restaurant.
“@Chefmikeh (Michael Hung) will be creating the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner,†wrote Bombet. “Continental cuisine it is!â€
Bombet anticipates the restaurant, which is being designed by Kelly Wearstler, will open in one month. It will take over the space occupied by Oliverio.
Those who attended The Times’ food festival The Taste last weekend got a first look at what Hung will be serving at his new restaurant. He was there Sunday night preparing small plates of pastrami-cured salmon, house-made ricotta and pickled squash.
