Fifth annual L.A. Beer Week: 10 days of all things beer
The now-5-year-old L.A. Beer Week -- actually 10 days -- celebrating all things beer returns next month from Sept. 19 to 29.
Hundreds of events are scheduled to take place at venues all over town, including tastings, seminars and beer pairing dinners. Beer Week’s official opening gala kicks off the celebration at Union Station on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring tastings from 50 craft breweries from around the world, with plenty of brewers in attendence to talk about their beers.
Food and beer events include “Close Your Eyes And Think of England†Bangers & Casks at the South Bay’s Tin Roof Bistro, a musical beer crawl from Mohawk Bend to the Short Stop in Echo Park and the Allagash beer dinner at the Bottle Room in Whittier. Additional events continue to be added.
Information and tickets for the opening gala are available at L.A. Beer Week’s website. Opening gala admission costs $70, proceeds from which will benefit the Spero Foundation and the Los Angeles Brewers Guild.
