Drink beer and help earthquake recovery at Saturday’s Crawl 4 Nepal
Local craft breweries and beer bars have rallied together to raise money to support the relief efforts in Nepal, and you can help the cause by simply buying a pint Saturday during the Crawl 4 Nepal.
The fundraising effort spans three counties where each of the 25 participating locations will designate one of their taps as the “donation beer” for the day. All proceeds from sales of these beers will be donated by the establishments to Global Giving’s Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.
The event was organized by a group of local beer bloggers Nick Gingold, Cleo Tobbi and Kelly Erickson. In a blog post about organizing the event Gingold says, “The support for this event has been nothing short of amazing, in the 2 weeks since we began organizing we’ve seen the craft beer community come together, like it always does, to do some good in the world.”
The still-growing list of participating locations reads like a who’s-who of the Southland beer scene and includes:
