At Monday’s Academy Awards nominees luncheon, several actresses managed to not say too much about what they plan to wear to the Oscars ceremony on Feb. 24. “Sweatpants,†joked Jennifer Lawrence. “Something colorful,†said Jessica Chastain. Amy Adams told it straight: “Has any girl ever gotten up here and said, ‘I’m wearing this designer and it will be this color?’ †[People]

Monday evening, those three were among the attendees at the Hollywood Reporter Nominees’ Night in Beverly Hills, where Chastain and Adams both wore black cocktail dresses, while Lawrence was clad in a youthful, nude embellished Valentino slip dress. [THR]

Barney’s New York and Diane von Furstenberg threw a party in New York on Monday night for L.A. jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, whom we profiled recently. Her husband, actor Tobey Maguire, attended, as did her dad, Ron, the president of Universal Studios. Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, fashion designers Rachel Roy and Jenna Lyons and actor Michael Douglas were also in the crowd. [WWD]

The first issue of WSJ magazine published since Kristina O’Neill took over as editor is due out Feb. 16, and it includes a column from Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld and contributions from photographers Mikael Jansson, Patrick Demarchelier and Todd Eberle. [WWD]

Model/actress Agyness Deyn has a second clothing and accessories collaboration with Doc Martens scheduled to launch Feb. 22. This time she drew inspiration from Japanese Harajuku Girls.
