Peta Murgatroyd, Kym Johnson show off cute NFL fan gear

Rabid sports fans love to wear their allegiances on their sleeves -- or T-shirts, caps or sweats. But up until a couple of years ago, pickings were slim for the fan who also happened to be a fashionista.
The National Football League saw this lack of cute, feminine fan gear as a problem that needed to be solved -- or as a marketing opportunity -- and two years ago launched an initiative to offer and promote some chicer options. Starting Tuesday, the NFL Women’s Apparel Campaign gets off to its third season with ads in September issues of women’s magazines showcasing the latest collection. The first ads feature “Dancing With the Stars’” Kym Johnson and Peta Murgatroyd, who more frequently are seen in ballgowns or tango outfits.
More than 20 women will be in ads during the campaign, including sports commentator and Olympic gold medalist Summer Sanders, model-socialite Melania Trump, tennis great Serena Williams and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.
As to the gear, it includes just about anything a woman would want to wear to support her team: jewelry, watches, hats, belts, boots, pants, shirts (including sexy halter and backless styles). Prices range from $9.99 for a pair of feather earrings to well over $600 for some limited edition handbags by Anastasio Moda.
But no matter your price range, there’s ample opportunity now to support your team in style.
