David Geffen makes Vanity Fair’s top 10 best-dressed billionaires list
Vanity Fair, the magazine that can’t resist bestowing its “best-dressed†imprimatur on the world’s rich and famous, has doubled down on the “rich†part of the equation this month and released a top 10 list of best-dressed billionaires.
The list includes six men and four women and was posted to the magazine’s website June 27. It is heavily weighted toward media moguls with three flush and fashion-forward folks making the grade -- Anne Cox Chambers, Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts and David Geffen (apparently the sole SoCal standout so honored). The Silicon Valley set, the cosmetics industry and the world of high finance all score two best-dressed billionaires: Laurene Powell Jobs and Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen; Leonard Lauder and Liliane Bettencourt; and Alejandro Davila and Henry Kravis, respectively. Rounding out the list (in the No. 1 spot no less) is Canadian-English food processing magnate W. Galen Weston.
The list, along with a photo slideshow of the well-heeled wealthy, can be found at the vf.com website.
It should be noted that this is a separate compilation from the magazine’s annual International Best-Dressed List, which has yet to be announced for 2014. (Last year’s list was released at the end of July.)
