MiA Project (Made in America) opens L.A. store

The MiA Project (Made in America) plans to celebrate the opening of its new Los Angeles store with an evening of shopping and drinks from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The new shop is in Highland Park at 4628 York Blvd., and it’s open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. This is the first brick-and-mortar store for the MiA Project, which launched online last spring and carries heritage and up-and-coming American-designed and -manufactured fashion and lifestyle brands

Pop-ups
SwimSpot has opened a seasonal pop-up at Glendale Galleria, offering swimwear for all sizes, shapes and ages as well as the guidance of trained fit specialists. The mall is at 100 W. Broadway, Glendale.
Mine & Yours, a women’s resale shop based in Vancouver, Canada, is popping up in L.A. The company is offering designer resale and new items from several labels at a pop-up called #Melrose Thursday through Sunday at 7303 Melrose Ave. The pop-up is scheduled to launch with a party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Several brands will be featured in a collective pop-up shop at DSTLD‘s studio space from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The space is at DNM Bar, 8899 Beverly Blvd., West Hollywood. Besides DSTLD’s denim, the shop will include leather handbags and accessories from Lauren Cecchi New York, eco-friendly, boho-chic designer knits and skirts from StyleSaint; sleepwear from Lunya; Culture Swimwear and womenswear from Aella.

Artist Lulu DK is scheduled to make an appearance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Macy’s South Coast Plaza to introduce her limited-edition Clinique makeup bag and mini clutch. The bag is stocked with a variety of Clinique products and is free with any Clinique purchase of $27 or more. South Coast Plaza is at 3333 Bristol St., Costa Mesa.
Nordstrom at the Grove is having a spring beauty trends event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, featuring complimentary skin care and makeup consultations, free samples and special gift-with-purchase offers. Customers can make appointments by calling or stopping by any makeup counter at Nordstrom, (323) 930-2230. The Grove is at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.
