TNT orders Howard Gordon spy drama âLegends,â starring Sean Bean
A day after giving a series order for a Michael Bay-produced drama, TNT announced it has greenlit the spy drama âLegends,â from âHomelandâ producer Howard Gordon.
The suspense series is based on the book by spy novelist Robert Littell, who is already part of the TNT family -- his CIA novel âThe Companyâ served as the basis of the networkâs 2007 miniseries.

âLegendsâ stars âGame of Thronesâ vet Sean Bean (with his head attached!) as an undercover agent who starts to question his own identity after an encounter with a âmysterious stranger.â
Gordon will serve as an executive producer along with Alexander Cary (âHomeland,â âLie to Meâ) and Jonathan Levin (âCharmedâ), as well as showrunners Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris (the creators of âSleeper Cell.â)
The Turner-owned network has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which is set to roll out next year.
Other additions and subtractions to the network are expected to come as Turner prepares to present it upfront presentation to advertisers in New York next week.
