‘The Newsroom’: Join a live video chat with Olivia Munn on Friday
- Share via
Join “The Newsroom” star Olivia Munn and Times staff writer Patrick Kevin Day on Friday at noon for a discussion of the HBO series, which returns for its second season July 14.
Munn plays Sloan Sabbith, a socially awkward financial analyst with “News Night,” the nightly news program anchored by testy anchor Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels). When the series returns, it will be a year after the events of last season, bringing the “News Night” staff to the final days before election night 2012. But while the final maneuvering between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama will surely play a central part of the series, the employees of “News Night” are also giving depositions in a lawsuit against the show.

Joining Munn on the show are returning cast members Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher Jr., Allison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Sam Waterston.
We’ll talk with Munn about her role on the show, taking on actual current events and delivering that distinctive Aaron Sorkin-penned dialogue. To join, just click on the RSVP tab above and bring your questions.
