Fox’s new drama trailers: ‘Almost Human,’ ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ ‘Rake’

Fox released three trailers to preview its new drama series for 2013-14. They are “Almost Human,� “Sleepy Hollow� and “Rake.�

In an attempt to restore ratings that fell by 20% last season, the network announced shows that were heavy on established talent.

“Almost Human� comes courtesy of TV heavyweight J.J. Abrams (“Fringe,� “Lost� and the “Mission: Impossible� franchise) and stars Karl Urban (“Star Trek�), Michael Ealy (“Sleeper Cell�) and Lili Taylor (“Six Feet Under�).

Set 35 years in the future, “Almost Human� takes place in a world where police work with human-like androids to fight crime.

“Sleepy Hollow� stars Tom Minson (“Salmon Fishing in the Yemen�) as Ichabod Crane in a modern re-imagining of the classic Washington Irving story. Only this time the future of humanity is at stake.

Finally, “Rake,� which stars Greg Kinnear and is slated for midseason, is a legal drama that explores the nature of addiction. Kinnear plays a brilliant defense attorney whose self-destructive habits often interfere with his work life.

A trailer for the new season of “24,� is not available.
