She just can’t stay away: Barbara Walters is coming back to TV.

The 85-year-old newswoman, who officially retired from ABC’s “The View†in 2014 after scaling back her activities for years, is returning with “American Scandal,†a six-part series for Investigation Discovery.

The series, announced as part of the new 2015-16 TV slate that the cable network is selling to advertisers in New York starting Tuesday, is billed as a kind of true-crime greatest hits collection.

Walters will retell the stories of some of the most notorious characters she covered throughout her career, including disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker, John Lennon killer Mark David Chapman and convicted murderer Jean Harris.
