Emmys 2012: Claire Danes talks about President Barack Obama love

Claire Danes made sure to thank her baby daddy Sunday night while accepting her Emmy for lead actress in a series. But when it comes to the actual child growing inside her, the “Homeland” actress isn’t so sure her offspring will find her win all that exciting.
“I think it’s going to be some time before my child cares at all about this, if ever,” the 33-year-old actress, who plays a hyper-watchful CIA agent in the Showtime drama, told reporters backstage. Motioning to her baby bump, she added: “This person may not care, but I do.”
Maybe POTUS does too? President Barack Obama has been vocal about being a fan of the show. A fact that isn’t lost on Danes.
“No pressure,” she joked. “It’s way cool that he is a fan. I think it just speaks to the relevancy of the show and it’s hugely validating … we’re still stupefied by the fact that he’s tuning in.”
