Megyn Kelly is revealing the details of her alleged sexual harassment by former Fox News chief Roger Ailes in her upcoming book.

Kelly’s memoir, “Settle for More,†reportedly includes passages that claim Ailes offered to advance her career “in exchange for sexual favors.â€

A person close to Fox has confirmed with The Times that those claims are contained in the book and that Kelly has reported them to Fox as part of its investigation into Ailes.

The ex-chairman of Fox News resigned from his post in July shortly after former anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment suit against him. The suit prompted 21st Century Fox to launch an internal investigation into Ailes’ conduct toward Carlson and other women at Fox News. Fox opted to settle Carlson’s suit in September.

Carlson’s lawsuit and other women’s accusations led Kelly to speak up in her book about her own alleged interactions with Ailes.

First reported by Radar Online, Kelly reveals how Ailes’ alleged harassment started in 2005, shortly after she joined Fox’s Washington bureau as a legal correspondent. The book contains passages describing how Ailes would routinely call Kelly into his office to engage in conversations that would range from “obviously inappropriate sexually charged comments†to “legitimate professional advice.“

Kelly says she rejected all of Ailes’ advances, and the harassment ended after six months. The revelations coincide with Kelly’s ongoing contract negotiations with Fox.

“Settle for More,†published by HarperCollins (owned by 21st Century Fox parent company News Corp.), will be released Nov. 15.
