The Real MVP: The Wanda Durant Story This new TV movie was inspired by basketball great Kevin Durant’s (Daniel Bellomy) moving tribute to his mother when he accepted the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player Award. Cassandra Freeman stars as the devoted single mother who worked tirelessly to raise three children. Tracie Thoms and Pauletta Washington also star. 8 p.m. Lifetime
The D Train A nebbish guy (Jack Black) spins a web of lies around a popular former classmate (James Marsden), now a TV celebrity, to win his friendship and persuade him to attend their high-school reunion in this 2015 indie comedy-drama from first-time directors Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel.
