Jackson Browne, Local Natives headline Way Over Yonder Festival

The Newport Folk Festival has made a second home in Santa Monica, and this year’s installment of its Way Over Yonder Festival proves it’s likely to stick around.
Jackson Browne, L.A. indie heroes Local Natives and alt-country staple Lucinda Williams will headline this year’s festival, which hits the Santa Monica Pier on Sept. 26-27.
Heartless Bastards, rising local crooner Moses Sumney and freak-folk pioneer Linda Perhacs are among the highlights of the fest’s undercard, which tops out at more than 20 acts.
Two day tickets for the fest are $74 (single day passes are $35) and go on-sale June 4.
This is the second year that the canonical festival (famously where Dylan went electric) has set up an edition in Los Angeles. Last year’s lineup featured headliners Neko Case and Conor Oberst. The fest is co-presented with local promoters Spaceland Presents.
