New music was no match for old hits on the album chart this week, as the latest installment in the pop compilation series “Now That’s What I Call Music!†entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

“Now 49,†with familiar singles by One Direction, Katy Perry and Pitbull, among others, sold 98,000 copies in the week that ended Feb. 9, according to Nielsen SoundScan, enough to bump the soundtrack to Disney’s “Frozen†to No. 2 after its two-week stint at the top of the chart.

Seventeen previous “Now†albums have made it to No. 1, noted Billboard’s Keith Caulfield, the most recent in August 2012.

Behind “Frozen,†which sold 88,000 copies last week (and has moved just under 1 million total), Bruno Mars’ 2012 album “Unorthodox Jukebox†came in at No. 3, the product of a sales boost he enjoyed after his performance Feb. 2 during the Super Bowl halftime show.

“Love, Marriage & Divorce,†a new duo album by R&B veterans Toni Braxton and Kenny “Babyface†Edmonds, entered the chart at No. 4, while Broken Bells’ â€After the Disco†rounded out the top 5.
