“Several people hid in our dressing room and the killers were able to get in and killed every one of them, except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket,†Hughes told Vice founder Shane Smith in a clip released by the site on Saturday.

“People were playing dead and they were so scared,†Hughes added. He said many people died because they refused to leave their friends.

Vice spokeswoman Annie Augustine, reached by email, said the interview was recorded Friday at Vice’s offices in Venice. The entire video will be released in the next few days, Augustine said.
