There’s been some last-minute additions to the lineup for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and if your tastes lean more artisinal beef jerky than OutKast, you’re in luck.

The Goldenvoice-promoted event, to be held over the weekends of April 11-13 and April 18-20, has significantly classed-up its food offerings, as well-regarded chefs and restaurants such as Sugarfish, Night + Market, Beer Belly and Crossroads are among the many practitioners who will be appearing at the desert festival.

What’s more, Coachella will for the first-time be offering a four-course $225 meal courtesy of roving dinner-event group Outstanding in the Field. Tickets for the meals are on sale, with two seatings available each night of Coachella’s two festival weekends. In announcing the multi-course feast, Goldenvoice has made additional tickets available for the previously “sold-out†festivals,

A dinner package that includes a general admission wristband is being sold for $600. A VIP wristband, with the meal included, is available for $1,024.

“You don’t have to change the way you eat when you eat at Coachella. If you want to eat at Sugarfish, go to Sugarfish. If you want to eat at Night + Market, go to Night + Market,†Coachella mastermind Paul Tollett told our sister blog Daily Dish.

Some of the foodie options are currently targeted to be VIP-only, as the likes of Sugarfish, Everleigh, Goldies and the Josef Centeno Group (Bar Ama, Baco Mercat, Orsa & Winston) will be held in one of the festival’s VIP-only sections. Others, such as Crossroads, Mexicali Taco & Co., Night + Market, Stipped Back, Tony’s Darts Away and Beer Belly will be in general admission areas of the grounds.

While Coachella has gradually been offering more upscale food options in recent years, other music festivals had more openly embraced foodie culture than the Indio event. San Francisco’s Outside Lands, for instance, has long marketed itself as a food and wine festival, and celebrity chef Graham Elliot has worked closely with Chicago’s Lollapalooza.

In adding more food vendors, Tollett told Daily Dish that the Coachella grounds have also expanded by five acres. In recent years Goldenvoice has purchased 280 acres of land surrounding the Coachella site and reached an agreement with the city of Indio to keep Coachella in the desert city through at least 2030.

A complete list of chefs participating in Outstanding in the Field is on the Coachella site. In addition to the high-class food offerings, look for a number of smaller eateries on the site, including Bon Puf, Sweet Clementine’s, the Fancy Boyz, Crazy Go Nuts! Le Bon Garcon, Z Confections, YES Bar, Crème Caramel LA and Dried & True Beef Jerky.
