Splash House debuts dance music pool parties in Palm Springs

Did you have such a good time at EDC that you’re not quite ready to come home to L.A. yet? Well go ahead and book your next eastbound rave vacation at the Saguaro, Curve or Caliente Tropics in August.
The three hotels — all recent additions or revamps on the Coachella mod-hospitality scene — are teaming up for Splash House, a series of underground-y dance music pool parties.
The artists performing sets during the Aug. 10-11 fest include crossover house and electro-pop stars such as Neon Indian, Bag Raiders, Juan MacLean, Poolside, Miami Horror, Plastic Plates, Viceroy and others. Local promoters LED, Private Label and Pacific Festival are among the presenters.
Following in the wake of successful similar events such as the Ace Hotel’s always-packed day parties and the Saguaro’s edition of A Club called Rhonda, Splash House continues the streak in high heat of the tourist off-season.
That means dance fans looking for cheaper rates and manageable crowds might have a new clandestine getaway. Tickets start at $99 for the weekend, and the hotels will offer a shuttle to whisk guests safely between all three parties. But be sure to pack some SPF-100: nothing harshes a good dance vibe like a gnarly sunburn.
