Make it eight.

Pop singer Adele has booked two more shows to her extended series of concerts at Staples Center in August, adding to her already slotted six sold-out gigs. The new dates are on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.

The artist has been touring for much of the year in support of her 2015 album, “25,†after debuting the new set during an intimate Los Angeles rehearsal show at the Wiltern in February. She officially kicked off the tour at the end of June on a bigger stage, Glastonbury in England, where she performed for a crowd estimated at 175,000.

Since then, the multiplatinum artist has carried her sold-out tour to dates in St. Paul, Minn., Chicago, Denver and Vancouver, Canada. On Monday, she’ll make the first of two appearances at KeyArena in Seattle before traveling down the coast to San Jose and Oakland and landing in Los Angeles for the first Staples Center date on Aug. 5. The artist will be in Los Angeles throughout the month, with a brief respite to Phoenix for two dates on Aug. 16-17.

Tickets for the two new shows at Staples go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific time via the artist’s website. Those looking to score tickets for the earlier Los Angeles dates shouldn’t be too discouraged. The secondary market is dense with offers not too far above gate price.

Those prices will likely increase as the concerts approach. The artist’s “25†jumped two notches on this week’s Billboard Top 200 album chart to land at an impressive No. 7.
