Tribeca 2013: Haggis, Danner and Bobby Flay among festival jurors
The Tribeca Film Festival has announced its jury for the 2013 edition, and it’s the usual mix of star names and unexpected public personalities.
The world narrative competition jury will include playwright and filmmaker Kenny Lonergan, director Paul Haggis and actresses Bryce Dallas-Howard and Blythe Danner, as well as Time Magazine senior editor Jessica Winter.
Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg will serve on the world documentary jury, joining directors Sandi Dubowski and Joe Berlinger and actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Mira Sorvino.
The festival, which begins April 17, also announced juries for categories such as best new narrative director and best new documentary director. The latter jury includes actors such as Taraji P. Henson and Josh Radnor as well as Google Ideas founder Jared Cohen.
Restaurateur Bobby Flay and techno-philosopher Jason Silva are among the jurors for the documentary and student short film competitions.
