Working Title founders to be honored at Hollywood Film Awards
Producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, whose latest films are the highly anticipated “Anna Karenina†and “Les Miserables,†are this year’s recipients of the Hollywood Film Awards’ Hollywood Producers Award.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning by Carlos de Abreu, founder and executive director of the awards. “It’s a great pleasure to recognize these talented and prolific producers as the recipients of our Hollywood Producers Award,†he said in a statement.
Bevan and Fellner’s production company, Working Titles Films, was founded in 1983 and over the years their movies have earned six Oscars, 30 BAFTA Awards and prizes at Cannes and Berlin.
Included among their past productions are “Frost/Nixon,†“About a Boy,†“Fargo,†“Dead Man Walking,†Billy Elliot,†“Four Weddings and a Funeral†and “Atonement.â€
The Hollywood Film Awards take place Oct. 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The Los Angeles Times is the presenting sponsor of the Hollywood Film Awards.
