MOVIES

‘The Clock’ In the movies, the image of a ticking timepiece is a common symbol — of waking up, of quitting time, of impending doom — but in Christian Marclay’s 24-hour montage, “The Clock,” it’s the star. Culled from thousands of movies and TV shows, the film stitches together myriad images of clocks and watches while remaining perfectly in sync with the time in the real world. The film screens in its entirety, ending Tuesday at 11 a.m. Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 5905 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. 11 a.m. Free. (323) 857-6000. https://www.lacma.org.
