Ridley Scott reveals when ‘Alien’ will finally connect with ‘Prometheus’

Still looking for answers from Ridley Scott’s alleged “Alien†prequel movie “Prometheus Wondering what the milky crossfit aliens have to do with the Xenomorphs and future alien battler Ellen Ripley? Well, get comfortable, because there will be many more “Prometheus†movies before the prequels link up with the original films.

In an interview with German film site Film Futter, the “Prometheus†and “Alien†director finally confirmed that he does, in fact, have plans to connect the two films together.

“The whole point is to explain the ‘Alien’ franchise and how and why the creation of the aliens,†Scott said in the interview with Film Futter (which we’ve translated back into English). “I always saw the ‘Alien’ as a type of biological warfare. For me, the original spaceship that I call the croissant, a warship that contains these biomechanoids creatures, is all about destruction. Yes, but it will not be in the next. It will be in the next ‘Prometheus’ or perhaps even in a later one, before we are in a sense back in the ‘Alien’ franchise.â€

So not “Prometheus 2,†but perhaps the third or fourth film? Will the public continue to be interested in a non-canon “Alien†movie that isn’t really anything like the “Alien†franchise? Does this mean more complicated Space Jockey interactions? And can that hold the audience’s interest in a non-canon, unlinked to “Alien†world?

Could the many-planned “Prometheus†movies reconnect with actor Michael Fassbender, who was introduced as the new android named David and is now (spoiler alert) just a head piloting around with Noomi Rapace as character Elizabeth Shaw? Perhaps. But one thing is for certain, the world wants more Xenomorphs. So fingers crossed that that will happen.
