Suddenly, the Web is swarming with Chris Pratt’s ‘Jurassic World’ vest replicas
Fear not, raptor-whisperers. You can now more faithfully re-create your favorite scenes from “Jurassic World.”
No, we’re not talking about all those zookeepers who’ve been posting their versions of Chris Pratt’s raptor-charming scene on social media.
Instead, we’re talking about a very important sartorial choice made by Pratt’s Owen Grady: the leather vest. And you can now buy vests made to look like the one donned by Pratt in the film. Even if many of them appear to be, shall we say, less than officially licensed.
How’s that for easy (if a little pricey) casual cosplay?
While product descriptions vary on whether the vests are synthetic or real leather, the various sites advertising these replicas all clearly mention Chris Pratt (or, in at least one case, “Chris Prat”) and “Jurassic World.”
Perhaps this vest will eventually be as iconic as other cinematic vests such as Marty McFly’s “Back to the Future” vest or the vests worn by “The Warriors.”
If so, it wouldn’t be entirely shocking, given that the red jacket Pratt wore as Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy” is also among the more recognizable movie outerwear in recent years.
I wear a lot of vests. I’m @tracycbrown on Twitter.
