‘The Rock’ is mad at someone on the set of ‘Fast 8’; but who?

It’s difficult to imagine a more genial presence in Hollywood than Dwayne Johnson, but a recent Instagram post makes it clear that you should never go out of your way to make the Rock angry.

You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

Johnson cross-posted a message to his Facebook and Instagram pages that acknowledged that he was in his last week of filming on the latest installation of the “Fast and the Furious†franchise, 2017’s “Fast 8,†and expressed gratitude for the hard work of the crew, the cooperation of the studio and admired the endless professionalism of his female costars.

His male costars, at least some of them, didn’t fare quite so well.

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't,†Johnson said of some of his costars, going on to use several choice phrases to describe them.

Apparently Johnson’s frustration was so palpable it may actually be able to be witnessed onscreen during the film.

“When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right,†Johnson said.

Maybe the most interesting part of Johnson’s very public mystery beef is that the actor and former professional wrestler’s social media accounts are full of photos and videos of him joyfully interacting with collaborators, whether it’s Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda or “Central Intelligence†costar Kevin Hart .

But the question remains, if Johnson isn’t referring to the women of “Fast 8,†including new additions Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren and returning stars Michelle Rodriguez and Nathalie Emmanuel, then who, of the men, is he referring to?

Let’s theorize!

“Fast 8†is Johnson’s fourth appearance in the franchise but this is the first time we’ve heard complaints about the commitment of the cast.

Theoretically, that could mean that the issues he has with costars come because of people he’s never worked with before. While Vin Diesel is obviously a perfect, gentle soul, he’s also the face of the franchise and ever-present throughout Johnson’s participation in the series, as Tyrese Gibson and Chris “Ludacris†Bridges have been.

Kurt Russell, who plays Mr. Nobody, previously had a supporting role in “Furious 7†and will allegedly feature more heavily in “Fast 8.†Jason Statham also appeared in “Furious 7†and will be returning for “Fast 8.â€

Let’s look at newcomers instead. Lucas Black played a pivotal role in “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift†which was before Johnson’s time, but he had a cameo in “Furious 7†so it’s possible he and Johnson have crossed paths before.

Which leaves just one pure, unadulterated newcomer to the announced male cast of “Fast 8â€: Scott Eastwood.

Obviously, there’s no telling who Johnson is actually talking about in his social media screeds but until someone fesses up, it’s fun to hypothesize.

That said, one group of individuals allegedly not enjoying the rampant theorizing is the actual cast of “Fast 8,†who TMZ reports are angered by Johnson’s social media shade, particularly since his lack of specifics casts them all in a poor light.

Representatives for Diesel and Johnson did not immediately respond to a request to comment on Tuesday morning.

Dwayne Johnson can currently be found on HBO’s “Ballers†and is voicing a character in Disney’s upcoming “Moana,†releasing Nov. 23.

“Fast 8†is slated for an April 14, 2017, release.
